I Said Yes!!!

So it has been over a month since I got engaged and I am finally getting around to blogging about this very special mile stone in my life!!! On February 19th the man of my dreams asked me to marry him. Now to my knowledge he wasn't home since right now he is a truck driver. I didn't expect him home till the following weekend and I just thought that I was going out to dinner with a friend. She had told me to get all dressed up and that she would pick me up at 6 pm. I thought it was a little random but I was excited for a night out on the town. I even got a cute new top with a gift certificate I got from one of my kids for Christmas. I still had about 20 minutes before my friend was suppose to be at my house when I heard a knock on the door. I scrambled to get my shirt on because I was standing in the bathroom getting ready in pants and a bra. The tag would not come off of the new shirt that I just got so I sat and fiddled with it for a few more seconds when I heard a knock at the door again. I threw on the shirt tag and all and ran to the door to see my prince standing there. :) Now mind you I still thought I had 20 minutes to get ready so half of my hair was pinned on the top of my head because I was in the processes of straightening my hair. :) (Thankfully my man loves me no matter what I look like) :) I had a hint that something was coming so I quickly finished getting ready and we headed out for the evening that he had planned.

As we where leaving my house he asked if I had my keys to the church because he needed to stop by and get something that a guy had left him. He proceeded to tell me that he needed to go before dinner because he was leaving early the next morning and he didn't want us to forget about it after dinner. (I totally believed him) lol

We got to the church and I stayed in the foyer while he ran up to the stage to get what he needed! It was taking longer than I thought so I walked up the stairs to see if he needed help when I saw a huge bouquet of flowers at the front of the stage. I walked up and he got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him. To which of course I replied yes!!! :)
(This picture was taken at my house the next day)

After wards we went to this very cute restaurant that is in an old fashioned house. They had the lights turned down low and candles lite on every table. It was super cute, quite, and romantic. We sat and talked as we ate dinner and he explained to me why he had picked the church. He said that first of all he wanted it to be a symbol of God being the foundation of our relationship and marriage and that he knew how important church has been to me my whole life. How sweet is that!!! :) We had a wonderful evening together and come to find out he was home for the whole weekend!!! :)

I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with him and to see what all God has for our future together. In just a sort 6 months from tomorrow I will be Mrs. Williamson and I couldn't be happier!! :)
